Today I checked out Stephan Balkenhol: Skulpturen und Reliefs at Tokyo Opera City. I won't go into too much detail right now as it's past 2 a.m. and I got about 4 hours of sleep last night. For the first time in quite a while, I stayed out late enough to miss the last train, and even had (gasp!) 2 whole alcoholic beverages. Oh what a lightweight I have become.

Back to the original topic. The art gallery at Tokyo Opera City is pretty damn fabulous (especially compared to sh*tty Mori Arts Center, see "My Hero"). The actual artwork was good on the whole; some of it was sock-blowing-offing, and others left me wondering if Herr Balkenhol just got bored of the sculpture before he finished it. Regardless, if I had limitless funds, I can think of a few pieces I would love to own.

Next on the agenda: the Isamu Noguchi exhibition at the
Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art (warning: this is one sh*tty website). If anyone's interested in checking it out, please email me; it ends this week, on the 27th. I'm also considering checking out Design Festa, even though it is in the middle of nowhere, and it's been way too cold to be walking around outside - Uggs or no Uggs.

More coming soon to a computer near you.
