Just got back from a wonderful dinner with a friend at a great, cozy, (literally) underground restaurant in Futako, which is pretty much as far as I will go during the winter. We had this dish called "Mexican Chicken" - there was nothing Mexican about it; it was basically boneless buffalo wings. Just when you thought buffalo wings couldn't get any better...

It's freezing cold tonight. Howling icy winds, lots of weird cirrostratus clouds blocking the moon. We had such a beautiful, mild, sunny day. I don't know when it deteriorated into this. Anyway, it's a perfect night to read in bed, so I can be grateful for that.

Oh yeah, I've just started reading Freakonomics. Just finished the preface, and it sounds amazing so far. I hope it's not just a good marketing gimmick. Marley (opere citato) looks up at me forlornly from the rejected book pile. It's really not fair to put a puppy photograph on the cover of a poorly-written book. That's a marketing gimmick (that almost worked).

There is more news to report, but Freakonomics calls. Trying out the new smaller font for a while to see how I feel about it.

How strange am I that I get a kick out of seeing your date stamp as Saturday Feb 4th when here it is Friday Feb 3rd?

Hmm, perhaps I am mentioned in the this Freak book you are reading.
