It was stupid enough when people started burning Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish embassies (and the list grows...) all over the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Now, apparently, Iran's largest-circulation daily newspaper is holding a contest for cartoons about the Holocaust in an act of retaliation – a decision that is less political than it is an indicator of this particular editor's laughable lack of maturity.

I don't belong to any religion, so I should probably just keep my opinions to myself. In fact, most problems would never take place if we could all just kindly keep our opinions to ourselves. Unfortunately, however, I have a blog that I intend to use, and I'm really fucking sick and tired of all these stupid dumb-fucks. So here goes.

It wasn't nice to publish a cartoon of the prophet Muhammad. Did these people know about Islam's doctrine banning idolatry? It may not seem like a big deal to us non-Muslims, but why go out of your way to offend someone? Especially when you know that person is in ultra-sensitive about such things? Especially when whatever you did isn't making a worthwhile point from any angle anyway??? I'm a big fan of “freedom of speech”. But just because you're free to be rude or cheap doesn't necessarily mean you should be. For fuck's sake! Grow up!

As for taking hostages, arson, nuking things, et cetera – yeah, that'll help. Listen, y'all: if you've tried something for a few centuries and you find it's not working, why not try something else for once? Do you want people to think you're stupid?

And on that topic, please don't expect any sympathy from me if you were kidnapped in Iraq last week while on a Christian mission. What the hell did you expect?

Here's an idea:

All you leaders of first-world Western nations (surely I don't need to name names) : Stop being so bloody greedy already and be grateful for what you have (which is more than enough). Stop invading other countries. Mind your own business. You are not an empire. Everyone else has a right to live their own lives. Practice what you preach.

As for the countries ruled by radical Islamists where most of these issues are taking place – they know best how their own countries should be run. If they want to go back to the days of the Caliphate, let them, for Christ's sake! If the rest of the world pulls out they can nuke, kidnap, and set each other on fire – that doesn't concern the rest of us. If that were to happen, though, I doubt the violence would continue the way it has been going. People would be too busy farming and trying to feed and clothe themselves to be researching Molotov cocktails on the Internet.

There, I feel better now. I hope I never get so annoyed that I have to do this ever again.
